Fall Mid-season wrap up

Women’s Tennis

The women’s tennis team rounded out their regular competition last Monday with a home game against SUNY Purchase. The Gryphons X against Purchase, X to X.

The Gryphons lost their first Skyline conference match to Yeshiva on Sept. 17, but they came back to win their third conference match against Mount Saint Mary 6-3 on Sept. 26. Their overall record was better than the 2013 record, with TK wins and TK loses, opposed to 7 wins and 7 losses. They won X out of 6 Skyline Conferences.

Women’s Crew

The women’s crew team opened their competitive season on Oct. 5 at the West Point Head Race, where the team of Faith Cody (‘17),  Hannah Richardson (‘17), Lea Cohen-Solal (‘18), Rachel Hochberger (‘18) and Christina Tang (‘17) finished eighth in the varsity 4+ division. The team then competed in the Navy Day Regatta on Oct. 11, finishing X. They wrap up their fall season with back to back races on Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Head of the Schuylkill and Sunday Oct. 26 at the Fall Metro Championships.

Men’s Crew

The men’s crew team opened their season at the Navy Day Regatta on Oct. 11, 2014. The team, consisting of Konrad Grenther (‘18) and Steven Gui (‘18) placed X. They will go on to compete at the Head of the Schuylkill on Oct. 25 and the Fall Metro Championships on Oct. 26.

Women’s Volleyball

The women’s volleyball team competed in a number of tri-matches this year. This past weekend, the women hosted the Sarah Lawrence tri-match, playing against Farmingdale State and Mount Saint Mary. The Gryphons placed x out of x. They round out their season with a match against St. Joseph’s on Oct. 24, a game against Maritime on Oct. 25, an away game against New Jersey City University on Oct. 30th, a tri-match against  St. Joseph’s Long Island and Purchase on Nov. 1, and have a final game against Yeshiva on November 2.

Men’s Soccer

The men’s soccer team wrapped up their regular season with an overall record of TKT. They have won 0 out of 4 of their conference matches. They won against rivals Cooper Union 1-0 on Oct. 5. They wrap up their season with two conference matches, once against Yeshiva on Oct. 23, and one against Maritime on Oct. 28.

Men’s Cross Country

The men’s cross country team opened their season with a 10 place finish at the Baruch Invitational on Sept. 7. They finished 11th out of 21 teams at the College of Staten Island Invitational. They round out their season with Skyline Championships on Oct. 26 and will compete at the Nick Russo Halloween Classic on Nov. 2.  

Women’s Cross Country

The women’s cross country team opened their season with a 10th place finish at the Baruch Invitational.  They placed 3rd out of 8 teams at the Mule/Falcon Invitational. They wrap up their season with Skyline Championships on Oct. 26 and will compete in the Mark Russo Halloween Classic on Nov. 2.

Women’s Soccer

The women’s soccer team opened their season with a 4-0 win over Yeshiva on Sept. 8. They scored another win against Medgar Evers on Sept. 14, with a final score of 9 to 1. The Gryphons round out their season with two games, one against Old Westbury on Oct. 25 and an away game against Mount St. Vincent on Oct. 27.
