Halloween Costumes at SLC

When it comes to Halloween at Sarah Lawrence, it's a guarantee that students will go all out on their costumes. Whether that be in the theme or actual design, it's always going to be perfect. There were so many great costumes, so here is a quick breakdown of some popular choices:

Cristle Collins Judd: Starting strong with a Sarah Lawrence-related costume—a couple of students sported our favorite president's signature look. The bright green blazers and matching skirts made for a very stylish, recognizable look to resemble Cristle!

Joan of Arc: This costume of an iconic historical figure was done right by students at SLC. Students dressed in Joan of Arc's bold clothing of flashy iron armor, chainmail, and crusade crosses was a powerful sight to see in the night.

Vampires: Throughout campus, students were ready to reach their next victim. All you need is a messy application of dripping blood down the face to get the idea of a vampire. It is even more enhanced by fake fangs, eyeliner, black tops and skirts.

Mermaids and Fairies: Identifiable by the sea-like jewelry and bright blue dresses or pants were students dressed as captivating mermaids. The pearly necklaces and hair accessories were perfectly paired with shimmery makeup scales to mimic the sea creatures. On the other side of the mythical spectrum, the delicate wings of the fairies were hard to miss. Students' green, silver, and blue wings delicately complimented the whimsical outfits and soft makeup that made students look like they just came straight out of an enchanted forest.

Angels and Devils: These costumes go hand in hand while being total opposites. It's a perfect duo or group costume with items you probably have in your closet. Angels were floating around with gorgeous, fluffy wings that brought their light look together. Devils were adorned with spiky black or red devil horns, coordinated outfits, and dark makeup.

Jennifer from Jennifer's Body: Don't get too close, or else… There were many hot-looking Jennifers this Halloween. We got to relish in the classic red and pink heart hoodie, the purple and yellow cheerleader set, and the bloody white coat and mini skirt that boys cannot resist.

Bottoms characters: Popular costumes of SLC were, of course, characters from the movie Bottoms. With bruised-up makeup and bandaids on bloody noses, these costumes were a hit—literally. The plaid shirts and hairstyles of different characters made them come to life even more.

Alice in Wonderland characters: The Alice costume became recognizable in white and blue dresses and cute black hair accessories that made others wish to go to Wonderland, too. There were also alluring Queen of Hearts costumes. Cards were stuck to students with a red lip and blue eyeshadow that stole everyone's hearts.

But this array was only some of the fantastic costumes this Halloween. Everyone was so creative; from gore to the purest costumes, you can never go wrong with what you wear during Halloween at Sarah Lawrence.
